What is ACE Body Structure?

Safety for Everyone

Honda is known for its top of the class safety features. Safety features that not only protect its occupants, but also occupants of other vehicles and all road users, including pedestrians. Honda has categorized their safety features into two main types of safety systems, active and passive safety.

Active safety includes technologies such as Honda Sensing™ Suite and driver assistive technologies that work actively while you’re driving. Passive safety features are systems that you hope you’ll never need, such as air bags and Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) Body Structure. ACE™ Body Structure is a Honda-exclusive body design that is made to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle as well as evenly distributing transferred forces to other vehicles involved. That means it’s not just Honda drivers that are safer in the event of a collision—it’s everybody.
