Empowering Our Youth Through the Youth Apprenticeship Program

Since Wilde East Towne Honda opened in December of 2012, we’ve taken pride in giving back to our community through sponsorships, volunteer work and the Automotive Youth Education System (AYES). Recently, we’ve been recognized in the Dealer Point, the official publication of the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association, Winter 2017 edition as an AYES Mentoring program.

Growing Our Community

Through the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development’s Youth Apprenticeship Program (YAP), we have a continuing opportunity to mentor today’s youth into becoming successful automotive technicians. Student’s in the program complete 450 hours of hands-on, supervised work by a Master Technician at our facility and successfully complete a level one internship. Many of our YAP student’s continue their education at their local technical college in the automotive program.

You can read more about our AYES/YAP programs in the Dealer Point magazine. Dealer Point magazine gave us an exceptional review and we would love for you to read it! You can find us on page 26 of the Dealer Point, the official publication of the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association, Winter 2017 edition.
