Don’t miss the 13th annual Madison Winter Festival Saturday and Sunday, February 18-19, 2017 at Elver Park. This family-friendly event offers a wide variety of fun outdoor activities for everyone, even Fido! Founded in 2005, Madison Winter Festival’s mission is “to develop, enrich and promote fun and healthy lifestyles in the wintertime through showcasing winter sports and festive recreational activities.”
Previously held on the Capitol Square, the Madison Winter Festival will celebrate its first year at Elver Park on the west side. The park will allow for more room and eliminate the need to truck snow downtown. If you are worried about the lack of snow this year, don’t worry, snow will be made!
Events range from adult, competitive, families, kids and recreational. Some of the competitive activities include the Ice Age Challenge, Elver Park Skijor Race and Winter Fat Bike. Children can enjoy sledding, the Kids Activity Corner, Snowboarding, Ice Hokey and more. Check out winter-fest.com for a complete list of all activities and a schedule.
