Over the years the Globetrotters went on to win a World Basketball Championship in 1940, had a cartoon show made about them, set world records and named Pope Francis as an Honorary Harlem Globetrotter for the team’s 90th anniversary. Through it all, the Harlem Globetrotters continued their focus on family entertainment and deep social involvement in local communities. (Source: harlemglobtrotters.com/about/our-story)
